PML’s recent investment in the expansion of its lorry fleet includes the addition of five Cool Liner refrigerated trailers from Krone.
Based at the company’s new £6m state-of-the-art Kent transport and logistics hub – ideally placed for PML to grow its port logistics offering by moving perishable goods from Dover – the dual temperature refrigerated trailers feature a continuous chassis design which absorbs force during coupling, uncoupling and docking. The tail is protected by a fender and two bumpers, while the rear door hinges are recessed to optimize the opening angle. Other features include a flexible, ceiling-mounted air duct to evenly distribute cold air, as well as a leak-proof floor tray and water-tight aluminium kick strip.
A dual temperature feature provides PML with the potential to split loads, therefore maximising transport efficiency with zero compromise on the company’s renowned reputation for excellence in the transfer of highly perishable goods. The newly refurbished 44,000 sq. ft warehouse fitted with best-in-class refrigeration technology, along with the temperature-controlled trucks provide clients with absolute confidence that their consignment will never be exposed to any breaks in the cold chain.
PML holds an Operator’s Licence for up to 20 HGVs at Lympne has more than quadrupled its fleet of lorries to cater for the growing demand for the company’s services as the no1 player in the transfer of perishable goods.
Commenting on the Cool Liner trailers, managing director Mike Parr says, “We’ve invested heavily in our new Kent site and no detail has been spared to ensure that we offer our customers access to the very best service, equipment, and technologies, to uphold the quality of their goods and maximise shelf life.
